£90,000 - £105,000pa + car allowance, bonus and benefits
An exciting opportunity for an expert in logistics solution design to take responsibility for developing and delivering operational solution designs along with the network strategy.
You will be joining the senior leadership team of a globally recognised business as they experience continued growth in their highly complex and fast-moving logistics operation.
The role necessitates being at head office in Swindon 1-2 days a week with the rest of the time working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a future-proof network strategy that will support ongoing growth.
- Managing manual and automated warehouse modelling and design to ensure operational and financial efficiencies along with customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all solutions include detailed cost analysis and KPI tracking. Managing operational capital expenditure to align with budgetary expectations and strategic objectives.
- Monitor and assess the service performance of ongoing growth initiatives
- Promote and implement principles to drive operational excellence
Key Skills / Experience:
- A strong operational background ideally in a warehousing/distribution business, to supplement proven experience in designing and implementing fast-paced process and automated solutions for logistics networks, including hub and spoke and multi-site configurations.
- Previous experience of implementing a new WMS system
- Sound project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple large-scale projects with conflicting priorities.
- An understanding of cost analysis and KPI development for new business solutions along with a knowledge of Capex management principles and practices.
- Strong leadership skills with experience of managing geographically dispersed teams.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
- Forward thinking with the ability to assess operational capabilities for future needs.
