Digital Assistant

This role has a starting salary of £29,697 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

This position is offered on an 18-month fixed term basis or as an internal secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring a new committed and creative Digital Assistant to join our Information and Engagement Team. The administrative base for the role is Leatherhead although the team often work across offices in Surrey. We work flexibly and expect people to work from a range of locations across Surrey and travel to meet business needs.

We support our digital communications strategy to promote self-service and greater digital engagement with our target audiences in Surrey. We are a supportive and collaborative team, committed to delivering great outcomes and empowering others.

About the Team
The role is part of the Adults, Health and Wellbeing Partnership directorate's Information and Engagement Team. We aim to improve access to information and advice about care and support across the health and care system in Surrey. We ensure that professionals and residents can access that information to make informed decisions about care and support. The digital team's work sits within this team, but focuses on all things web related for adults.

By helping to deliver our vision, you will play an integral role in making sure that our residents are:

  • Informed and able, or have the support, to make decisions about their lives
  • Enabled to be active, independent and have good wellbeing
  • Connected to their communities.

About the Role
In a typical week you'll be using our content management system (CMS) to edit and proofread content and making sure it meets style and accessibility guidelines. This will be across two websites, with different CMS and a directory management.

Using a web analytics package, you'll develop strategies to improve our site and increase audiences. Alongside this, you'll be preparing content our social media channels, measuring its effectiveness with analytics and making recommendations for improvements.

Shortlisting Criteria

  • Excellent digital skills
  • Experience in social media, websites and new technologies
  • Excellent writing skills including experience or examples
