We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lead to take on an in-flight procurement project within the UK central government.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial support for all remaining aspects of the procurement, from developing a Procurement Strategy, the Bidder's pack and contract, to running the procurement process, through to contract award and commercial handover.

This role requires strong procurement knowledge and experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

The Future Hosting and Storage Procurement Project (FHASPP) has a requirement for commercial support for the remainder of its procurement. At this point in the project, the FHASPP Strategic Outline Case has been approved, and work is beginning on the Outline Business Case and the Procurement Strategy

As a Commercial Lead (Inside IR35) your main responsibilities will be:

  • Provide Commercial Lead support for the delivery of all Gold Pre-Sourcing & Sourcing Steps, including, but not limited to:
  • Integrate with the Commercial Resources on the other Core Infrastructure Projects and related programmes to ensure quality of delivery.
  • Update the DgC Technology Core Infrastructure Category Manager on progress, risks, and escalations required, during a weekly 1-2-1 meeting.
  • Provide timely updates to the Core Infrastructure Category Manager on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Produce a set of monthly reports, including Attend Core Infrastructure Team Meetings, in person where possible, or remotely where required.
  • Keep all relevant records on DgC's e-Commercial System, Atamis, up-to-date and accurate.
  • Follow DgC's One Way of Working with modifications approved by exception by the Core Infrastructure Category Manager.

Essential

  • MCIPS
  • Candidates would need previous experience of working at Grade 7 level
  • Public Sector experience
  • Experience of competitive procedure of negotiation experience
  • Hosting / Application experience within an IT procurement environment
  • Experience of running procurements of substantial value (£75m)
  • Experience of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of using Atamis
