About the Role:
Are you a dedicated and adaptable primary school teacher based in Lewes? Academics Ltd is looking for a reliable Supply Primary Teacher who can respond to last-minute assignments and is available for early morning calls as early as 7am. If you are flexible, enjoy diverse teaching environments, and are eager to make a positive impact, this role is for you!
You will be responsible for delivering lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, and adapting to different school environments quickly. In each assignment, you will follow existing lesson plans or create your own engaging content to ensure students continue their learning seamlessly. Effective classroom management and the ability to provide constructive feedback on student progress are key aspects of the role. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons across different year groups, following the national curriculum.
- Quickly adapt to new classroom settings and build positive relationships with students.
- Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Mark and assess students' work when required, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and well-being.
- Maintain a professional and flexible approach to accommodate the needs of different schools and students.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching in a primary school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the primary national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with availability for early morning calls for same-day assignments.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
