Hyperloop Recruitment are working with an exciting scale-up in Chester who are looking for a Test Analyst to join their emerging team on a hybrid working basis.
Reporting to the Tech Lead, as Test Analyst you will play a key role in product design and development, taking responsibility for writing, executing and reporting on tests. You'll provide insight into the state of a product throughout development and deployment.
The role will include responsibilities such as:
- Writing and executing effective functional tests and carrying out exploratory testing to assess product performance
- Designing and developing automation scripts when needed
- Supporting, implementing, and helping to shape the test approach
- Planning, estimating, and reporting on test activities
- Contributing to the test process and procedural improvements
- Finding critical bugs or verifying reported issues, identifying their cause, and seeing them through to resolution
- Raising descriptive, concise, and useful defect reports and leading defect triage meetings
The role would suit a Test Analyst with experience of the following:
- Manual testing methods (regression, functional)
- Integration testing (APIs)
- Automation (Selenium Webdriver and/or Cypress)
- Coding skills (Java / PHP)
- SQL Server
- Web-related technologies
- Defect management tools
- ISTQB certified
In return, the successful Test Analyst will be entitled to a salary up to £50,000 (DOE) + benefits. The role will be a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days p/w in the Chester head office.
The position is commutable from Birkenhead, Cheshire, Crewe, Liverpool, Runcorn, Warrington, Widnes or Wrexham.
