Are you an experienced Auto Technician in the Coatbridge, Sterling area?
My client is seeking an Auto Technician in the Coatbridge, Sterling area - who is confident with installing electrical components to HGV Vehicles..
Key Responsibilities:
- Electrical Diagnostics and Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical faults in HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles) using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in HGVs, including wiring, lighting, batteries, and electronic control systems.
- -Inspections: Perform regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Upgrades and Modifications: Carry out upgrades and modifications to HGV electrical systems as required, including the installation of new equipment and technologies.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers regarding the status of their vehicles and provide professional advice on electrical repairs and maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Auto Electrician, preferably with HGVs or similar heavy vehicles.
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications or qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical or Vehicle Electrics).
- Licenses: HGV driving license preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic skills, proficiency in using electrical diagnostic equipment, and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HGV electrical systems and components, including CAN bus systems, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs)
