Accounts Assistant

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Accounts Assistant at a very well-established company based in the Dartford area. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records, managing expenses and ensuring the accounting department operates efficiently and effectively.

Duties Include:

  • Entering supplier invoices for project costing and ensuring correct nominal code, VAT treatment, sums and dates
  • Updating spreadsheets to reflect invoices and ensuring accuracy is a top priority
  • Entry of all other overhead invoices
  • Setting up suppliers and completing credit forms
  • Reconciling statements
  • Submit remittances to suppliers and allocating payments on accounts
  • Processing payments
  • Managing credit card payments and investigating any missing invoices
  • Exporting data to excel to check CIS Tax, Job numbers etc.
  • Assisting with all elements of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control

This is not an exhaustive list of duties and more responsibilities will be discussed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar position
  • Have excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Be motivated and not afraid to tackle any task at hand
