An exciting opportunity has opened for a Accounts Assistant at a very well-established company based in the Dartford area. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial records, managing expenses and ensuring the accounting department operates efficiently and effectively.
Duties Include:
- Entering supplier invoices for project costing and ensuring correct nominal code, VAT treatment, sums and dates
- Updating spreadsheets to reflect invoices and ensuring accuracy is a top priority
- Entry of all other overhead invoices
- Setting up suppliers and completing credit forms
- Reconciling statements
- Submit remittances to suppliers and allocating payments on accounts
- Processing payments
- Managing credit card payments and investigating any missing invoices
- Exporting data to excel to check CIS Tax, Job numbers etc.
- Assisting with all elements of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control
This is not an exhaustive list of duties and more responsibilities will be discussed.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a similar position
- Have excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Be motivated and not afraid to tackle any task at hand
