Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning, organising, and executing culinary operations for events and hospitality functions.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menus that cater to a variety of dietary preferences and event themes.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Assist in recipe development, costing, and portion control to maximize profitability.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and emerging ingredients to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among kitchen staff.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or a similar role in a high-volume events or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and food preparation methods.
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and mentoring a diverse team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on delivering consistent quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
