Legal Cashier - Global Law Firm - £45,000
This dynamic law firm with offices across the world is looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for its accounts team in London, based in stunning offices with spectacular views of the City.
The role will be a hands on and busy role to support employees across the office. Working alongside one other legal cashier, an accounts payable specialist, legal biller and accounting supervisor.
Duties include:
- Processing of client and office receipts
- Setting up electronic payments
- Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Actioning any internal bank transfers as required
- Calculating interest due on client account transactions
- Ensuring client balances are returned promptly
- Supporting the wider accounts team, completing any additional ad hoc tasks as required
Previous legal accounting experience is required, along with a solid understanding of the solicitor's accounts rules. Experience of using different currencies would be an advantage, together with having studied the AAT or ILFM cashiering course.
