Senior Finance Assistant

Location: Weybridge

Hybrid: 3 days and working from home 2 days (Flexible)

Hours: 9am – 5.30pm

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000

Role Purpose

This role is accountable for supporting the wider Finance function by inputting and monitoring data in the sales ledger, purchase ledger, bank/cash, assisting with credit control and helping prepare financial reconciliations and reports.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking automated sales invoices daily and ensure invoices are 100% accurate.
  • Uploading all insured private invoices for payments
  • Record and input all receipts including card payments taken over the phone.
  • Credit control of overdue accounts
  • Input all purchase invoices onto Sage and file.
  • Input all bank transactions.
  • Reconciling bank statements and monitoring financial transactions to ensure accuracy
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Responding to patient queries and proactively dealing with requests
  • Taking payments where necessary
  • Provide day to day assistance to the Finance Manager and the wider team.

Role Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in an accounts role
  • Must be able to work pro-actively, positively, efficiently and effectively
  • Able to work quickly and accurately using own initiative
  • Experience with month end and production of management accounts
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Proficient using MS Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong accuracy
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to prioritise work and work well as part of a team
