Insight Executive are working with a leading commercial property management company to recruit a Technical Services Surveyor carrying out technical energy management asset audits.

This role will deliver local technical energy management asset audits, culminating in an Asset Improvement Plan (AIP) which in turn supports the wider PDS Sustainability drive to Net Zero deliverables as agreed with the PDS/AS playbook roles & responsibilities protocol.

These services will be delivered to a multi-site, multi-client basis as well as leading on the development and implementation of engineering services, and energy performance management services as well as the agreed service, scope, and strategy within the client teams nationally.

Part of this role will be dedicated to managing the implementation of Client's Net Zero Strategy across assets under management and support reporting and tracking of performance working closely across stakeholders, in particular Client's Asset Management and ESG team.

The successful candidate will prepare, monitor, and execute the agreed client service deliverables on time, within the agreed parameters and will represent the client's best interests in all actions.

  • Co-ordinate and report progress through Asset ESG Plans.
  • Drive Outcome of the energy audits, collaborating directly with Client's asset managers and property managers to get asset improvement works within budgets, both Opex & Capex in plan and signed off.
  • Manage and oversee implementation of measures related to improving energy efficiency - co-ordinating with the other TPMs.
  • In refurbishments collaborate with Client to ensure the operational NZC energy strategy is considered.
  • Support EPC improvements as well across portfolio.
  • Report progress through the AIP.
  • Where applicable ensure there is a Net Zero Trajectory in place with identified measures, track the impact of measures implemented and ensure assets stay on track.
  • Where applicable ensure asset PPMs are reflective of the Net Zero Strategy.
  • At target assets liaising with the occupier to identify and unlock collaborative projects between Client and the occupier.
  • Overseeing meter upgrade programme.
  • Routinely monitor energy profiles and ensure assets on track.
  • Undertake feasibility studies and then tender and project manage the delivery of renewable energy (PV), electric vehicle (EV) charging and other small engineering projects in line with PDS/AS playbook.
  • Manage internal and external relationships including Client, local authorities, service providers and statutory bodies.
  • Co-ordinate with other internal service lines to share knowledge and create alignment in service delivery.
  • Manage asset level legislative and regulatory risks current and future planning across managed assets.
  • Review industry guidelines and utilities regulations providing guidance and support to asset services and clients, when change impacts the managed portfolio.
  • Support lead wider engineering initiatives with key supply chain partners and procurement function.
  • Establish and maintain external contacts with statutory authorities and other groups and associations applicable and beneficial to the services provided.
  • Co-ordinate the production of performance reports, conduct analysis of the results and take appropriate action to ensure continuous improvement is achieved.
  • Reporting to line management on agreed basis and subjects.

The person specification will ideally have:

  • Degree in engineering/environmental or sustainability related discipline
  • Professional body membership.
  • Current UK Driving License.
  • Knowledge of BREEAM, LEED, WELL and NABERS certifications.
  • CIBSE & HVCA guidelines
