Accounts Assistant (Temp)

Our client, a highly-esteemed organisation, is currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team on a full-time, ongoing temporary basis.
As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the organisation. You will also support overall operations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
The responsibilities:
- Record purchase and sales ledger entries, code supplier invoices, and secure necessary approvals.
- Handle petty cash payments, conduct reconciliations, and process payment transactions.
- Perform cash, cheque, and donation banking, and manage payment allocations in the cashbook.
- Issue invoices for services and projects, and conduct credit control by following up on debtors.
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, including Control Accounts.
- Prepare and summarize monthly journals, including ad hoc adjustments as needed.
- Reconcile and post monthly credit card transactions.
- Maintain and organise financial files, spreadsheets, and ensure document security and Data Protection compliance.
- Assist with payroll, timesheet management, and enforce financial policies and procedures. Manage daily post, oversee the Finance email account, and respond to phone/email inquiries.
The candidate:
- Proven experience within a similar role.
- Proficient in data entry, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Payroll.
- Numerically literate with excellent time management and organisational skills.
- A proactive, resilient team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
