HR Advisor

Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the HR Advisor will work as part of a busy HR and Administration department. The primary function of this role is to provide operational support to the senior management team and the wider business on all aspects of HR in accordance with UK employment legislation. Additionally, the role will provide temporary cover for the HR Administrator during their maternity leave.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the HR team, responding to various HR queries from both managers and employees
  • Provide generalist support, coaching and guidance to managers in all areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Support line managers with probation cases, low-level absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases in line with policy, procedure and best practice
  • Support recruitment processes; review job descriptions, post job adverts, liaise with recruitment agencies, coordinate interviews, and lead on local inductions
  • Raise offer letters and contracts of employment
  • Administer changes to terms of conditions, including pay reviews, job role changes, etc
  • Review and update HR policies, ensuring these are in line with current legislation
  • Update employee files including the HRIS system
  • Support with HR projects
  • Collate and report on people data as required

Profile

  • CIPD qualified (level 5 or above)
  • Proven HR generalist experience
  • Excellent ER experience, including strong knowledge of probation, absence management, performance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of current UK employment legalisation
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills across all levels of the business
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team environment
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills

Job Offer

  • £35,000 - £36,000 per annum
