IT Support Engineer

As an End User Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to end-users across the UK and Ireland. You will be the first point of contact for all IT support queries and will work closely with a highly skilled team based in the UK and the India Operations Centre (IOC) as necessary.

Your primary objective will be to provide proactive and reactive support for the organisation's modern equipment. You will install and configure laptops and mobile phones and assist new starters to get up and running. Additionally, you will diagnose hardware and software faults, resolve technical and application problems, provide technical support, and ensure that all company laptops, phones, and peripheral equipment run smoothly.

As a member of the IT Support team, you will play a critical role in building a best-in-class service that meets the needs of all end-users. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by providing prompt and professional technical support.

Role Accountabilities and responsibilities:

In this role your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users across the UK and Ireland
  • Install and configure laptops and mobile phones
  • Assist new starters with IT setup and configuration
  • Diagnose hardware and software faults
  • Resolve technical and application problems
  • Provide technical support to ensure that all company laptops, phones, and peripheral equipment run smoothly
  • Collaborate with the UK-based team and the India Operations Centre (IOC) as necessary

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in providing technical support in a similar role
  • Knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and MacOS
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting mobile devices
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange
  • Familiarity with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
