Assistant Management Accountant - £25,000 - £29,000 per year + Benefits - Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid 3 days in the office)
FryerMiles is partnering with a leading business based in Reading, Berkshire, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a small team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The duties of the Assistant Management Assistant include:
- Accurately processing and converting sales orders to invoices, delivering these to customers in a timely manner and to the right place (email, customer portal etc.)
- Contacting customers regarding any overdue invoices and working with them to ensure invoices are paid.
- Reconcile any credits on customer accounts.
- Processing purchase invoices from suppliers, ensuring the right level of approval is obtained.
- Ensure invoices are processed for all automatic payments.
- Completing regular payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time.
- Accurately process banking entries, dealing with any banking queries.
- Ensuring all bank accounts are fully reconciled at month end.
- Assist with the month end process, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and that accurate accruals, prepayments and other financial entries are complete.
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to prepare and issue month-end reports as required.
- Completion of thorough and robust balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
The successful Assistant Management Assistant will:
- Studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
- Proactive, detailed-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident in using financial software, SAGE would be advantageous and strong excel skills (V-look-up, Pivots)
- Excellent communicator, willing to build strong working relationships within the business.
