and are looking for a hands-on team lead to manage the team in mechanical/battery design and development within the Powertrain department.

Job Description

Carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) necessary to maintain and enhance competence in your own area of practice and to mentor/develop members of your team.
Lead the mechanical design and development of Battery for EV
Approve Statements of Work, Interface Agreements and Collaboration Management Plans for outsourced packages of work
Check and approve design evidence (design calculations, reference data with source, correspondence, test reports, etc) and ensure that it is recorded for use in design reviews.
Serve as a subject matter expert and design authority on a major engineering system(s) or engineering development process/technique.

Mechanical Design Engineer Team Lead/Leader Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Strong knowledge and experience in the use of a high-level CAD package (Catia / NX).
Experience in the application of the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
Expert in the application/selection of relevant engineering analytical techniques, manufacturing processes, materials specifications & standard parts and is able to guide others.
Full project lifecycle and a background of designing batteries
