Trade Mark Attorney - 6-12 month assignment

We are working closely with a boutique IP practice, that is looking to engage with an experienced Trade Mark Attorney on a 6-12 month assignment on a part time basis (ideally 3-4 days per week). Whilst the role is initially for a 6-12 month duration, there is potential for further extension and/or permanency. This opportunity is fully remote.

The practice works with a lot of SMEs and start-ups across a full range of sectors, to include those operating within the food and beverage industry through to pharmaceutical sectors. Their client base spans both the UK and the US, and they receive a strong number of referrals from Innovate UK.

They are now looking to bring on board a further Trade Mark Attorney to support their team, initially on a 6-12 month assignment, with a view for potential extension and/or permanency.

Successful individuals should be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or qualification as a Trade Mark Attorney. Further admittance in the US would also be of notable interest, but is not essential.
  • Upwards of 4 years' experience in handling a full suite of trade mark matters to include clearance searching, drafting specifications, registration of UK, EU and International Trade Marks, renewals, along with trade mark objections and oppositions.
  • Training or experience gained from top 100 or international firms, along with some in-house experience, would be of notable interest. Experience gained within IP and trade mark boutiques will also be of interest.
  • A genuine interest in providing legal advice to SMEs, Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs.
  • A thirst for working in a refreshing and flexible manner.

Successful individuals will likely be based in the UK.
