About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CCTV Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team dedicated to enhancing public safety and managing major incidents. In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the CCTV service, ensuring that resources and information are effectively managed to meet the needs of various stakeholders. You will ensure that staff and assets are deployed effectively, demonstrating value for money and achieving the highest impact for the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a culture of best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CCTV service, ensuring that it meets all required standards and delivers a high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with a range of partners to ensure effective and timely responses to a broad range of critical incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and best practice standards to maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the CCTV service.
  • Drive continuous service improvement by implementing innovative solutions and problem-solving approaches.
  • Manage the service's resources, including personnel, technology, and data, to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management on public safety and incident management issues.
  • Maintain robust systems and processes to ensure the efficacy of the CCTV operations, including the management of sensitive data and information.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience as a people leader, preferably within the public sector or a similar environment.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.
  • A proactive, "can do" attitude with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of audiences.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to work outside of core office hours when required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of CCTV operations and public safety issues is desirable but not essential; we value a strong leadership background and a commitment to service excellence.
