Purchase Ledger Clerk - Immediate start

  • Annual Salary: £12 per hour
  • Location: Hybrid working, office in Braintree
  • Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Temporary position for 3 weeks - 3 months

We are seeking a diligent Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our clients finance team. This role involves processing invoices, answering queries, and monitoring email inboxes. The position offers hybrid working arrangements, but candidates must be able to drive due to the location of the office.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Processing a high volume of supplier invoices with accuracy.
  • Maintaining and organising the email inbox to ensure all communications are addressed promptly.
  • Handling queries from suppliers and internal departments professionally.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to drive due to location
