Position overview:
Working from the Sheffield Workshop providing mechanical support to the Flex Operational Assets throughout the UK. Ensuring mechanical integrity of the Flex fleet by undertaking condition based maintenance activities and refurbishment of CAT failure engines within the engineering workshop. You will be expected to demonstrate the appropriate behaviours and commitment towards health and safety to ensure we maintain our first-class safety culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to support the operations department.
- Provide training to operational staff on Engineering Issues.
- Anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and identify areas for improvement
- Build up a knowledge base with regards to the mechanical integrity associated with the specific asset area.
- Support and comply with Company Policies as documented in the Conditions of Employment Policies Manual.
- Champion compliance with all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, and statutory requirements.
- Investigative fault finding and repairs to breakdown situations on mechanical equipment.
- Positively encourage a culture of safety first.
- Develop and create task specific RAMS.
- Adhere to Safe Operating Procedures and Sembcorp Management Procedures
- Ensure adherence to safe systems of work at all times.
- Keep maintenance workshops and storage areas clean, tidy and orderly adhering to the 5S methodology
- Undertake reactive breakdown diagnosis and repair.
Essential
- HNC or equivalent or NVQ level 3 or equivalent (Trade Specific)
- IOSH Managing Safely
