SEN Service Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: Negotiable (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time
Duration: September 2024 (with likely extensions)
Location: Hybrid working – East Midlands
Our client is currently looking for an experienced SENA Service Manager with a track record of working in a complex and challenging environment with experience of assessment and reviews.
The role will involve strong management oversight of the service, namely the Team Managers ensuring the service runs in accordance with statutory timescales and the service performance and quality assurance framework and in according with SEND Code of Practice 2014.
Responsibilities:
- Lead on the organisation's statutory duty to undertake Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments, issue EHC plans, commission appropriate services and carry out monitoring and annual reviews
- Co-ordinate the administration and support for the organisations panels associated with the EHC assessment and review processes
- Work alongside an additional SENA Service Manager who has responsibility for Placements and Tribunal. Flexibility will be required to manage teams as needed
- Ensure all new procedures, policies and processes are fully embedded in the service and be accountable to the Education and SEND SMT for this
- Contribute to service planning and to ensure that all teams have appropriate business plans which meet relevant policy and statutory requirements and customer needs.
