Finance Clerk – Sales Ledger

Salary – up to £25,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Full time role. Hybrid working model.
We're looking for a Finance Clerk who will specialise in Sales Ledger to join us and play a key role in continuing to support our business.
This role would be perfect for a recent graduate or school leaver looking for a future career in Finance. Similarly, if you have general office experience within a Finance team; this could be the role for you.
About you
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone to kickstart their career in finance. No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for candidates with a passion for finance and mathematics, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Ideally you will have;
- Basic accounting knowledge & numeracy skills
- Any reconciliation experience
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
- AAT qualification or currently studying towards AAT certification is desirable
- School leavers with a passion for finance are encouraged to apply
What will your role look like?
As the Finance Clerk – Sales Ledger at Welcome Break, you will be part of our Accounts Receivable team. Sitting within our wider Finance department with a focus on the finances of the Welcome Break business.
You will be involved with supporting the head office with credit control. Including sales invoices, debtor reporting and invoicing. With accuracy being of the utmost importance.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the sales ledger team with all aspects of invoicing, payment allocations and credit control.
- Reconciliation and allocation of funds received each week
- Generate statements for clients
- To act at a point of query resolution, escalating as required.
- To perform credit checks on new and existing customers.
- To communicate with debtors to resolve any queries on a timely basis
- Support with reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
