Quality Inspector required for an aerospace company based in Welwyn Garden City. The successful candidate will be a key part of the quality team, ensuring the reputation for quality is maintained to a high standard.
**Quality Inspector
Position Overview
- Conduct inspections ensuring compliance with drawings and documentation for the generation
of inspection reports and FAIRs to meet AS9102 and customer requirements.
- Manage and maintain the calibration system, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements.
- Log and monitor the Non-Conformance (NC) and Return Material Authorisation (RMA)
process, including raising quality alerts, quarantining and if required scrapping parts.
- Actively contribute and support root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions and
propose any pertinent improvements.
- Collaborate with the generation of company metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Report to the Quality Director and assist the Quality Engineers.
**Quality Inspector
Position Requirements
- Quality experience required preferably from an aerospace/defence/automotive background.
- Knowledge of aerospace quality standards AS9100/AS9120 preferable (ISO 9001 Minimum).
- Familiar with the use of basic inspection equipment and understand technical drawings.
- Experience with machined parts and associated processes
