Profectus have partnered with a leading consultancy in the healthcare and life sciences space who are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their growing team in Central London (hybrid working).
What We Expect from You
- Project Management: Oversee intermediate activities and deliverables to ensure timely project/programme delivery, collaborating with client teams, designers, and other consultants and contractors.
- Vision and Scope: Establish and communicate a clear vision and purpose for projects/programmes to all stakeholders, defining what is to be achieved.
- Planning and Implementation: Define, plan, and implement the necessary delivery structure, resources, and phases to achieve the business case and ROI for the client.
- Resource Management: Manage project/programme finances, resources, and activities, balancing conflicting demands and dependencies.
- Risk Management: Identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage risks and issues in line with industry standards and governance frameworks.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate delivery teams, ensuring clear understanding of outcomes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Performance Reporting: Produce regular delivery performance reports as required by the client to support senior decision-making.
- Governance Support: Facilitate smooth programme/project governance and decision-making with delivery expertise.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the key contact for clients and teams on commissions.
- Process Adherence: Follow structured project management processes and procedures.
- Team Development: Help develop and manage a high-performing team of consultants.
- Compliance: Ensure commissions align with company values, financial instructions, good practice, and legislation.
- Fee Management: Monitor and support the achievement of financial targets.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a lead project/programme manager, accountable for delivery.
- Complex Project Management: Senior-level experience in managing complex projects/programmes, especially in construction, consultancy, health, or life sciences.
- Presentation Skills: Experience presenting at project board meetings using various methods and tools.
- Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with common procurement methods and contract strategies, ideally NEC 3 or 4.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Substantial experience engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels, simplifying technical information for non-technical audiences.
- Public Sector Insight: Good understanding of public sector requirements, particularly in healthcare, life sciences, or higher education.
- Capital Protocols: Understanding of capital and procurement protocols.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including formal report writing and advising on complex issues.
- Professional Membership: Membership in a chartered institute (e.g., CIOB, APM, RICS, CIBSE, or MICE).
