The role of Financial Accountant is really important to us. You will report to the Financial Controller and will be responsible for helping to oversee the financial operations of part of the UK Telecoms businesses. This part of the UK business is primarily made up of 4 UK companies where the Financial Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller and the rest of the finance team to report and take responsibility for all finance related workflows.

Your key deliverables and responsibilities will be...

  • Preparation of monthly management reporting packs and analysis dashboards to present to management.
  • Monthly accrued income workings, subsequent reconciliations, and postings.
  • Reconciliation of COS between accounts system and CRM system.
  • Submissions of financial reports as per group instructions.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Month end Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Oversee the junior finance team.
  • Management of bank reconciliation process.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Assisting with the integration of the existing CRM system.
  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects to improve processes and efficiencies.
  • Prepare & present management accounts information to Head of Finance
  • Liaise with group finance on year-end audit & tax queries.

What do we expect of you?

  • Must be fully qualified - ACA / CIMA / ACCA, 1st time movers from Practice will be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met and issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Driven to succeed in all aspects of work.
