An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to work on a 3 shift system for this global automotive component supplier. The business is well established, has a very strong order book and they are investing a further £30m in the plant over the next few years.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the Quality Manager, you will support the Internal Manufacturing teams with regards to the timely resolution of Customer and Internal quality concerns.
  • Support the NPI teams during the development of Control Plans, PFMEA, Guage Planning etc and highlight potential failure modes
  • Support the internal Audit team by performing various Internal Audits
  • Provide and communicate Quality / Process data to the Manufacturing teams and facilitate improvement actions
  • Lead Pro-actively visit customer / supplier locations to resolve customer concerns and maintain high levels of customer liaison

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified in Mechanical / Production Engineering or similar
  • Proven background in Quality Engineering / Audits and applying core QA tools and techniques
  • From a medium - high volume metal forming / fabrication environment
