FLT Operator role at Blunham, Bedfordshire for DS Smith

Role: FLT Operator

Rate of Pay: £15.40 per hour,

  • OT1: £23.10 (Pay) - Monday 6:00am to Saturday 6:00 pm at x1.5
  • OT2: £30.80 (Pay) - Saturday 6:00pm to Monday 6:00am at x2.0

Location: South Mills, The Ridgeway, Blunham, Bedford MK44 3PH - DS Smith (Days & Nights)

Job Type: Contractual, 3 months rolling, with the potential for a permanent position

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Days, 6am-6pm
  • Week 2: Nights, 6pm-6am

Start: 5th August,2024

Essential Requirements:

  • Mandatory External Counterbalance FLT License (Internal license will not be accepted)
  • Emphasis on candidates' willingness to work nights and previous experience with shift patterns

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate machinery for the movement of materials, meeting productivity and performance targets, including quality, waste management, and customer service.
  • Ensure maintenance and cleaning tasks align with the planned maintenance schedule.
  • Support and engage in continuous improvement initiatives as they arise.
  • Operate Counterbalance FLT and perform occasional Warehouse Operative tasks; manual labor is not a primary component of this role.
