My Client are a Yorkshire based Civil Engineering Main Contractor that require an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in civil engineering? Someone capable of delivering high-quality projects while managing a diverse range of challenges? This is a great opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to join a dynamic team delivering a range of drainage / watercourse framework projects in the Leeds area.
DUTIES:
- Liaise with the client to identify scope of works, present a solution and then deliver within agreed timescales
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
- Ensure project milestones are met in line with programme
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations
- Report progress, budget, and any issues to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders
- Resolve any site issues promptly to keep the project on track
THE CANDIDATE:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils projects in a local authority setting
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of drainage (installation, repair & maintenance)
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of workers and subcontractors
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
