Are you passionate about Human Resources and looking to gain valuable hands-on experience? We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Intern to join our client's team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Based in the Aviation Sector our client offers a vastly diverse and exciting environment to work in!

About the Role:

This internship offers a unique chance to work closely with our HR Business Partner team, gaining practical skills and contributing to meaningful projects in a supportive, learning-focused environment. You'll play a key role in day-to-day HR operations while being involved in various projects aimed at improving and developing HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact for employee queries, ensuring efficient direction of enquiries.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including managing offer checklists and visa documentation.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee records and reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HR Business Partners with annual HR programs (e.g., PDR, talent reviews).
  • Assist with Employee Relations cases, including note-taking and scheduling investigation meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, such as taking meeting minutes and supporting health & wellbeing initiatives.
  • Help organize and support HR events like career fairs and Diversity & Inclusion activities.

Projects:

Lead or contribute to HR improvement projects, new developments, and value-added activities.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • A degree (2:2 or above).
  • A passion for HR with a keen interest in employment law.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude, creative mindset, and a strong willingness to learn.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and compliance.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Desirable:

  • Currently studying for HR qualifications (HRM, CIPD level 3).
