Our client, a leading independent service provider, seeks a Credit Controller to join their dedicated finance team on a part-time, permanent basis. The role, provides a professional yet relaxed environment conducive to growth and collaboration, it will primarily concentrate on the Sales Ledger function.
The ideal candidate should display a passion for learning and fostering relationships across the organisation. They should be proactive, organised, and eager to contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and processes.
The responsibilities:
- Pursuing outstanding debts through telephone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Recording daily customer receipts and managing banking transactions.
- Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts.
- Addressing and resolving customer inquiries regarding their accounts.
- Maintaining accurate customer.
- Generating weekly Aged Debtors reports with detailed commentary.
- Generating Sales invoices and Credit Notes.
- Collaborating with Directors to assess debts and decide on potential legal actions.
- Monitoring the Finance mailbox.
- Providing support during finance team absences.
- Assisting the finance team with various ad hoc tasks and special projects as required.
The candidate:
- Experience in Credit Control with a strong grasp of sales ledger accounting.
- Proficiency in reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Sage 200 would be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
