Credit Controller

INTRODUCTION

We are working with a Transport Technology company who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their Accounts Team.

THE COMPANY

Our client works within the transport industry, connecting a whole host of different individuals, from service users through to additional service providers. This allows for a seamless and more efficient experience for those working in the transport sector.

The ideal candidate for this position would have Credit Control experience, and is someone who will join them in actively promoting an enjoyable working environment, through attitude, enthusiasm and drive.

THE ROLE OF A CREDIT CONTROLLER

  • Daily posting of sales cash, and allocate promptly and accurately
  • Keeping overdue lists up-to-date
  • Sending invoice copies and payment links to customers
  • Liaising with customers about any queries (through phone and email)
  • Sending statements and reminder letters
  • Chasing overdue debts (by phone)
  • Passing overdue debts to debt collection agency
  • Keeping customer records updated
  • Credit checking new customers
  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are in place for all processes within the department
  • Managing ad hoc project work
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all key stakeholders

THE REQUIREMENTS OF A CREDIT CONTROLLER

  • Experience working within a well-established commercial business
  • Day-to-day experience of chasing debts both over the phone and email, with strong attention to detail
  • System skills including Sage and Excel
  • Able to be hands-on with a positive attitude
  • Strong and articulate communication skills, with capability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse group
  • Awareness of Control and Compliance minded
  • Experience of working in a multi-currency business is beneficial

  • Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (35 hours per week)
  • £25,000 - 28,000 p/a depending on experience
