Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will collaborate with a team of qualified and part-qualified Management Accountants. Your responsibilities will include preparing high-quality financial information from large datasets, maintaining meticulous records, and assisting with various financial tasks. Effective communication with both financial and non-financial team members is essential. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Extract, analyse, and organise financial data to create accurate reports.
  • Use Excel proficiently to manipulate and present data effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Participate in the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence.
  • Familiarity with audit procedures and experience dealing with auditors is advantageous.
  • Address any VAT-related queries or issues.
  • Contribute to improving the tax compliance processes.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Collaborate with financial and non-financial team members to achieve shared goals.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly competent in Excel.
  • Experience with Management Accounts preparation
  • Strong analytical skills to handle substantial amounts of financial data.
  • Experience in audit or familiarity with audit procedures (desirable).
  • Knowledge of VAT and tax regulations (preferred).
