Vision Teaching are working in close partnership with a number of successful SEND Schools in the London Borough of Hackney. Our partner schools are seeking dedicated and experienced SEND Teachers to join them on both permanent and contractual bases in the new academic year.
Our partner schools cater for students aged 4 - 19, and therefore we have roles available for SEND Teachers specialising in both Primary and Secondary education. The schools support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs; however the majority of students have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD) with additional, associated needs.
The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, leading the class and a team of experienced support staff. Average class sizes in our partner SEND schools are between 6 and 10 students, with an average of 3/4 Teaching Assistants to offer support. As the SEND Teacher, you will follow individual learning plans, and work closely with senior leaders and parents/carers to ensure every child is fully supported and reaching their full potential whilst at school.
