About the Role

An exciting and challenging opportunity in Truro is available to join the team as a Financial Controller. Working from the head office, the successful candidate will be part of a busy, friendly team with diverse skills and experience. Responsibilities include producing and reviewing management accounts and compliance returns, ensuring adequate controls are in place, assisting with the development and maintenance of annual budgets and forecasts, and line managing members of the Finance team.

Skills and Experience

To contribute effectively within this role, candidates will require a CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification and leadership and line management experience. The role demands a high level of numeracy, knowledge and understanding of statutory and management accounts from an industry or practice background, commercial awareness, and negotiation skills. Candidates should possess data rationale and analytical skills, the ability to collate, interpret and present information, strong computer-based skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, as well as presentation and organisational skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills. This role may suit a candidate with a background in audit practice.
