Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with this SME client based in York who are looking to appoint an Interim Part Time Management Accountant for an immediate start.
The role is a fixed term contract for approximately 6 months to support the Finance Director with covering maternity leave. My client needs someone who has demonstrable experience and can hit the ground running. You can be qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience.
This is a hands on SME role so you need to be comfortable with operating under minimal supervision and managing the whole accounting process from the transactional processing to full management accounts preparation.
You duties would include the following:
- Producing and presenting accurate monthly Management Accounts.
- Submitting monthly figures for Group consolidation.
- Investigating any variances to budget and provide narrative explanations.
- Responsibility for the reconciliation and processing quarterly Group VAT returns, including subsequent payments to the HMRC.
- Responsibility for the monthly statutory returns including Intrastat.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Responsibility management of the Fixed Asset register.
- Responsibility for efficiently and accurately managing company's cash flow.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Cash Book postings and management.
- Sales ledger management, purchase ledger management and credit control function.
- Cash and credit card expense postings.
- Daily and weekly sales reporting.
My client is a great business who needs an experienced Management Accountant to support the finance function through the navigation of the change period. Hours are 24 per week and my client can be flexible in terms of number of days and start/finish times.
