Northbrook College, part of the Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for a IT Technician at our Broadwater Campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basisand in return, we will offer a competitive salary of**£26,189 - £28,621 per annum.**

The IT Technician role:

Chichester College Group has an extensive IT Infrastructure covering around 10,000 machines over ten sites.

As our IT Technician, you will join an outstanding team, supporting Information Technology across the Group and will have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows, hardware and peripherals coupled with proven problem solving and customer service skills.

You will have previous experience in an IT technical support role and be able to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Technician include:

  • To provide IT support and guidance to all IT Services customers.
  • To take a proactive role in providing and improving outstanding levels of service to a wide range of customers, at all levels, Group-wide.
  • To support the Team Leader in developing and delivering local strategies, procedures, and processes.
  • To respond to requests received via the Help Desk system, via telephone and in person, within prescribed service level agreements.
  • To assist in the planning of IT related projects as required.
  • To install, setup and routinely maintain a wide variety of IT, audio visual and telephony equipment.
  • To escalate to other colleagues promptly if needed.
  • To competently troubleshoot, diagnose and rectify a variety of IT issues.
  • To accurately maintain records and documentation.
  • To liaise with external support companies and equipment vendors as required.
  • To maintain service by covering for absent colleagues as required.
  • To be proactive in maintaining own knowledge and skills and to participate in both local and CCG training as required.
