Financial Controller | 12 month FTC | High growth business | Manchester | £60,000-65,000
Axon Moore are pleased to be yet again partnering with a leading FMCG Business based in Manchester looking for a Qualified Financial Controller to join the team for a 12 FTC. The role will be project driven, supporting the Finance Director with the preparation of year-end financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and accounts production. This role is well suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment given the hands on nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure robust financial information is provided including monthly management accounting and annual year-end financial reporting for all Business Units within the division
- Production of a balance sheet pack, including provision of insight and recommendations for improvements to the Finance Director's view
- Be key contact for the business during the annual audit
- Lead implementation of Group financial accounts submissions and policies. This includes: Year end packs, including tax packs
- Ensure statutory compliance for all external reporting requirements including corporation tax, VAT, ONS returns
- Collating, challenging, and tracking capital expenditure projects
- Managing regular submissions of cash flow forecasting by Business Unit for the division
- Managing and developing the accounting processes and colleagues within finance team
- Provide support to the Finance Director through the provision of financial information as required
- Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager with respect to day-to-day financial performance and the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Adhoc and regular additional reporting (including Group requirements)
- Support finance team with day to day activities to ensure financial processes and controls are operating correctly.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance position in a consumer goods business.
- Previous expertise in HMRC returns.
- Hands-on, with a ‘can-do' attitude
