Head of Warranty Operations

Posted by Calibre Candidates.

We are seeking a capable people manager with automotive experience to join our client in the Aylesbury area as Head of Warranty Claims. The main objective of the role is to build capabilities and 'know how' within the Claims Operations function to ensure that the business can deliver 'service brilliance' to all customers (internal as well as external) and all partners at all times. This includes 'hands on' business support to all areas, which will include the provision of regular management information and analytics. Suitable candidates will come from Warranty Claims Management. Excellent range of company benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver robust operations budget planning. This includes budgeting for adequate resource to ensure operational SLAs are delivered at all times. In addition, there is a responsibility to ensure no costs exceed budgeted amounts (this includes average claims costs) and implement corrective plans if required.
  • Robustly manage, track and monitor all claims funds. Create and maintain effective frameworks to contain and control parts and labour costs.
  • Regularly provide innovative ideas to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Management of a sizeable reporting team including setting, monitoring and evaluating performance.
  • Provide detailed management reports including monthly operational performance dashboards.
  • Ensure the consistent and full utilisation and optimisation of the Claims Management System and telephony systems. This includes ensuring that ALL warranty claims are managed via the system at all times (ideally 100% of claims 'on-line') and that full functionality of telephony is effectively deployed.

Requirements:

  • Management experience from warranty claims essential
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong commercial business knowledge and acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
