STARK Building Materials UK Ltd is a dynamic and innovative builders' merchanting company committed to delivering top building materials and expert services to our customers. In the E-commerce team we believe in the power of content to drive engagement, inform our customers, and build our brand. We're looking for a Digital Content Manager with copywriting skills and basic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) knowledge to join our team and help us achieve our goals.

Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Manager to produce high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital content, copy writing and a basic understanding of SEO principles to ensure our content reaches a wider audience and ranks well on search engines. You will at times need to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in with a variety of tasks, including digital product merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Write clear and engaging content for our websites, including collaborating on user journey copy.
  • SEO Implementation: Work with our SEO agency to apply basic SEO techniques to improve content visibility and search engine rankings, including on-page optimization, and meta tag creation. Help to triage and feed in technical SEO recommendations into our development backlog.
  • Editorial Standards: Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring all content is original, error-free, and aligned with our brand guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders to land promotions/customer facing information, help create great website journeys with wording variations for A-B tests.
  • Content Updates: Regularly update and refresh existing content to keep it relevant and bring new ideas to the table to help repurpose content with best SEO practice.
