Control Room Technician

GXO are currently recruiting for a Control Room Technician to take responsibility for coordinating customers' orders, ensuring cut-off times are achieved, and working closely with the warehouse team to ensure that all pick lists are produced in a timely manner.

Joining us on a full time, permanent basis, you will be working nights, 4 on 4 off, covering the hours of 7pm-7am

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £29,080 (including night shift allowance) per annum and 23 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Organise and monitor the order flow to make sure orders are being picked and shipped to meet their cut off times
  • Manage and investigate any allocation shortages to make sure orders are being fulfilled to meet customer satisfaction
  • Participate in regular reviews of the Control room processes, the maintenance and review of SOP's and Risk Assessments
  • gain exceptional system knowledge and provide continuous onsite system support, being the first point of contact with any system troubleshooting

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Understanding of Manhattan WMS is preferred, however, training is provided
  • Experience of working within an administrative capacity, in a logistics environment would be a big tick for us but not essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive approach to the role
