£30,461 - £38,407 full time equivalent salary based on 37hrs per week
Working Hours: to be discussed at interview (this position is open to Full Time or Part-Time hours
Our public sector service providing client are currently looking to expand their HR team to due internal progression, this position is ideal a for CIPD qualified HR Advisor with experience of working within the education field, providing expertise advice and guidance within a HR capacity.
Main Responsibilities of the HR Advisor
- Support clients with employee relation casework, by email/telephone/teams and onsite.
- Act as an investigating officer on variety of employment matters and provide a written report.
- Attend formal meetings.
- Be involved in the development of school-based HR policies and procedures working closely with Trade Union representatives;
- Design/deliver training sessions to clients on a variety of HR topics
Experience and Skills required
- Have a proven track record of managing and solving a range of HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence management, TUPE, redundancy, appraisal and capability.
- Experience of working within the schools' sector and providing advice in line with school specific legislation such as the Burgundy Book, School Teachers' Pay & Conditions Document and School Staffing Regulations
- Preferably fully CIPD qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.
- Must have a strong knowledge of employment law
