Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:45 am - 5 pm, Fri 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Holidays: 30 days (incl. bank holidays) + 2 extra after 2 years

Our client is a market-leading, family-owned business trading for over 50 years. They are looking to recruit a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Compliance Co-Ordinator with extensive knowledge, ideally from the chemical manufacturing industry.

The Role:

This key role ensures regulatory compliance and employee safety, working closely with Directors to manage risks and oversee site health and safety.

You will create and monitor internal controls, manage compliance programs, and conduct Risk & COSHH assessments. Additionally, you'll educate and train employees on regulatory requirements and industry practices, ensuring adherence to policies and promoting safe work practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar manufacturing role
  • Health and safety qualifications (minimum NEBOSH General Certificate)
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Full driving license
  • Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR regulations is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of, Quality assurance, Health & Safety and Environmental Controls and Waste Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal compliance system
  • Conduct site inspections and audits
  • Oversee incident reporting and investigations
  • Support ISO accreditations (14001, 9001, 45001)
  • Train and induct staff, visitors, and contractors
  • Maintain compliance documentation and duty of care records
  • Communicate with Directors on risk management
  • Manage emergency and first aid procedures
