Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our acute stroke and neuro team. This role involves working closely with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans for patients in an acute inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments for acute stroke patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with MDT members and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Manage a dynamic caseload, prioritizing patient needs for timely and safe discharges.
  • Prescribe adaptive equipment and aids to enhance patient independence.

Key Requirements:

  • Hold an Occupational Therapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 12 months NHS experience in an acute stroke/neuro setting.
  • Evidence of relevant stroke/neuro-specific training.
  • Strong understanding of stroke conditions and Occupational Therapy models.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficient in managing caseloads and computer literate.
