SPEC Engineering is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company for Oil, Gas, and Refineries and we are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our growing UK team.
About the role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee the company's purchasing activities, The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of the supply chain function across a significant business unit or large-scale project providing all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation, reporting and bid support.
Responsibilities:
- Guide, Coach, Support and Direct a team with enthusiasm, positivity, and professionalism
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to enhance profitability
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure advantageous terms.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Utilize ERP systems to track purchases and analyze data
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Work closely with logistics, engineering & project team to ensure timely delivery of goods
Key Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in business studies, law, engineering, supply chain or similar discipline/ CIPS qualified or industry equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role with EPC companies
- Proficient in using ERP
- Solid understanding of importing and exporting of goods throughout the world
- Strong excel skills
- Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements
- Strategic and Tactical Procurement
- Supply Chain Principles and techniques
- Supply Chain theory and practice
