Supply Chain/Procurement Manager - Engineering

SPEC Engineering is an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company for Oil, Gas, and Refineries and we are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our growing UK team.

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to oversee the company's purchasing activities, The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of the supply chain function across a significant business unit or large-scale project providing all aspects of supply chain management including materials management, warehousing, expediting, procurement, subcontracts, negotiation, reporting and bid support.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide, Coach, Support and Direct a team with enthusiasm, positivity, and professionalism
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to enhance profitability
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and secure advantageous terms.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Utilize ERP systems to track purchases and analyze data
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
  • Work closely with logistics, engineering & project team to ensure timely delivery of goods

Key Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in business studies, law, engineering, supply chain or similar discipline/ CIPS qualified or industry equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role with EPC companies
  • Proficient in using ERP
  • Solid understanding of importing and exporting of goods throughout the world
  • Strong excel skills
  • Subcontract Agreements and Framework Agreements
  • Strategic and Tactical Procurement
  • Supply Chain Principles and techniques
  • Supply Chain theory and practice

  • Maintains a strong network both within and outside of the procurement department
  • Positively maintain relationships with Suppliers, clients and other disciplines
