Commercial Partnerships Manager Salary: £38-40k + £12k OTE commission

Our client are a friendly media bunch based in Se.1 They are a content marketing business with a host of magazines, events, digital platforms.

They have a low-ego culture with a flat management structure, which values the ideas and input of all the team equally, irrespective of their experience level.

Their sales team of 10 is a close-knit group, who have become experts in the sectors that they represent. With a range of experience throughout the team, they put a huge emphasis on supporting and developing their junior team members and providing opportunities to learn from one another.

You will report into the Sales Manager for Events, sponsorship and work closely with them to deliver on the commercial strategy.

They are seeking an experienced B2B sponsorship sales professional to play a crucial role in driving revenue growth through partnerships with prominent industry leaders, maximising sponsor exposure, and enhancing the overall success of their events.

The successful candidate will be responsible for exhibition and sponsorship sales across the portfolio of over 30 events, as well as cross-selling digital display and sponsored content solutions.

Job Objectives

  • Identify and target new business opportunities by researching and potential sponsors and exhibitors
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to new and existing sponsors
  • Create compelling sponsorship proposals that effectively communicate the benefits of partnering with the brand and showcase the value of sponsorship packages
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to inform your sales approach
  • Identify and recommend new commercial opportunities to generate additional revenue
  • Work closely with the events team to align sponsorship activities with event logistics, and content to ensure a seamless execution and a positive experience for sponsors.
  • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction by providing best-in-class service, timely responses, and solutions-oriented communication

Experience Required

This role would be ideally suited to an experienced sales professional with a proven track-record of delivering success and an in-depth understanding of B2B events.

Previous experience working within the construction and property sector or with other large membership institutions is not essential but would be highly desirable.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to think creatively and collaborate with event teams to deliver outstanding sponsorship packages.

  • Quick to take on board and implement new skills and training
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

Office / Remote working

They are currently operating a hybrid working model, which encourages a mix of office and remote working.

This will typically involve 2 days of remote working per week on Mondays and Fridays, with the remainder spent at their recently refurbished office in Southwark.

Days in the office may vary based on the requirements of the role.
