We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Luton from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a deep passion for history and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching to students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Humanities lessons that engage and inspire students.
  • Collaborate with the history department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
  • Employ diverse teaching methods to meet the varied learning needs and styles of students.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students within the subject.
  • Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters curiosity and a love for history.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, and whole-school training events.
  • Engage in the school's extracurricular activities and contribute to community events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Degree in Humanities related subject.
  • Experience teaching Humanities at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Humanities.
  • High standards of teaching and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and school-wide events.
