We are recruiting a Facilities Support professional on behalf of a third-party client. This is a temporary position starting as soon as possible for a duration of 4 weeks, with the potential for an extension.
Position Details:
Location: Edinburgh, EH2 6UT - Office based
Contract Duration: 4 weeks (with the possibility of extension)
Working Hours: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Salary: £24,450 per annum (pro-rata)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the maintenance of the client's office facilities, including the grounds, equipment, and plant, to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for employees and visitors.
- Ensure the building and grounds are secure, including opening and closing the office as required.
- Conduct routine checks in line with maintenance, inspection, and health and safety procedures, and report any issues to the People, Workspace, and Wellbeing Officer.
- Carry out minor repairs, maintenance, and cleaning tasks that do not require specialized skills.
- Operate building services such as heating, lighting, ventilation, alarms, and other equipment according to instructions and requirements.
- Move, store, and relocate equipment and furniture, and set up rooms as needed to meet safety and security standards.
- Act as a key holder, prepared for call-outs outside office hours, including nights and weekends.
- Oversee external contractors performing specialized maintenance or repairs.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, including arranging couriers as necessary.
- Provide reception cover to greet visitors and coordinate catering services as needed.
- Manage office stationery and catering supplies, placing orders as required.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required within the scope of the role.
