Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a temporary basis in Yalding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the company's accounts payable processes and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
**Accounts Payable Clerk Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming invoices, verifying accuracy, approvals, and account coding in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and perform payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries related to accounts payable.
- Maintain vendor files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to improve AP processes and efficiency.
**Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
