This is an established firm of chartered accountants based in New Mills who are seeking an Accounts Trainee to join their experienced team. This is a small independent practice with a client base ranging from sole traders to large groups. As a general practice, this firm provides a wide range of services including accountancy, tax, payroll and audit. This is a great opportunity for a candidate wanting to gain a broad accountancy experience in all aspects of general practice.
Your new role
As Accounts Trainee, you will support the team and gain on the job experience. Your duties will include accounts preparation for a range of clients and not just limited to smaller clients, this firm will give you the opportunity to work on all levels of client. You will prepare VAT returns and tax computations as well as have bookkeeping duties and client relationship management. Your role will also include duties within audit, depending on the needs of the clients. This will be a varied role and you will gain invaluable experience in general practice.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate for this role will need to have previous practice experience and will need to be able to prepare accounts. Tax, payroll and audit experience is helpful for this role but not necessary. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or part qualified or working towards your ACA/ACCA qualification. You will need good interpersonal skills and to be able to work as part of a team. Communication and organisation are key for this role.
