Accounts Manager
Location: Poulton-le-Fylde
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Contract: Three-month contract with the potential to go permanent
Working Arrangement: Fully office-based

About the Role
On behalf of our client, Adele Carr Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounts Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation. This role is ideal for a qualified (or qualified by experience) finance professional who is ready to take the lead in management accounting, HR processes, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making and fostering collaboration across departments to ensure the smooth running of operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management Accounting:

  • Preparation of accurate and timely management accounts.

  • Conducting margin analysis, VAT returns, and reconciliations.

  • Overseeing the finance team to ensure up-to-date and accurate financial records.

  • HR and Payroll Support:

  • Assisting line managers with HR documentation and processes.

  • Ensuring payroll is managed accurately and submitted to HMRC within deadlines.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Actively contributing to the Senior Leadership Team, driving growth and fostering a positive culture.

  • Managing the finance team, including setting objectives, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes and operational efficiency.

  • Developing KPIs and driving business improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (or qualified by experience).
  • Strong experience with financial systems, particularly Sage Line 50 (or similar).
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Mintsoft or equivalent systems.
  • Awareness of health and safety or food safety standards.
  • Coaching or mentoring experience.
